In addition to time spent teaching children, a tutor’s commitment involves training, planning for teaching, and travel (although travel time is not included in these computations). In 2003-04, total tutor time at school was estimated at 2300 hours; in 2006-7 it was 7000 hours; and by 2010-11 is projected to be 11,000 hours.
