Melissa Kumin, MEd

Melissa Kumin joined Reading Power in 2022 as a Site Coordinator.  She has over 25 years of experience in secondary education as a middle school teacher where she participated in various leadership roles and mentored many new classroom teachers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Education degree from DePaul University, and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.   Her true passion is reading and she reads an average of 300+ books per year.  Melissa hopes to share her love of reading with others.
