Maggie Wehmer, BA
Artist and Community Leader
Maggie Wehmer spent her corporate career in digital marketing in Washington, DC, Los Angeles and Chicago. As the Senior Director of Entertainment at Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, she led digital and social media strategies for major television networks and film studios including Sony, AMC, and ABC Family. Notably, Maggie oversaw a national team responsible for NBC’s 24/7 social presence, covering its full slate of primetime and late-night programming. Maggie attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science, and while living in Washington, served as the president of The Madison, an organization of young women engaged in philanthropy and enhancing the experience of women in the district.
Today, Maggie lives in Lake Forest with her husband, Eddie, and their two children. She is an avid racquet sports enthusiast and in her free time enjoys painting and volunteering at her children’s school.
As an avid reader and a mom to little ones, Maggie has a heart for passing on the love of literacy to the next generation by equipping students with the opportunity and skills to flourish.
