Tracy Hovis, MEd

Tracy Hovis joined Reading Power as a Site Coordinator in 2025 after volunteering with the organization as a reading tutor. She has over 20 years of early childhood teaching experience. She is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Early Childhood Education and holds a Master’s in Reading from NorthEastern Illinois University. Tracy’s experience includes teaching First Grade in Skokie and Northbrook and Kindergarten/First Grade in a bilingual classroom in Wheeling. Tracy has also spent time creating her own tutoring business and teaching preschool at Beth El in Highland Park. She loves being the mother of three wonderful children and loves to travel with her husband.

Tracy is thrilled to be a part of the Reading Power team and is excited to help and inspire young children to be lifelong readers!
